What does Payroll include?

If you employ staff within your business, Payroll Set Up is crucial to get right. Payroll Set up is the backbone to having your employee’s correct information, pay them their salary, withhold the correct PAYG, calculate super contributions and more. Account Aspects has the experience and knowledge to set up your payroll on Xero keeping your employees happy and loyal to you. We will also connect your Xero payroll to the ATO for STP reporting.

Onboarding a new staff member to your team is exciting. At Account Aspects, we can help with new employment setup, Xero setup for employees (including staff setup on Xero) and superannuation details. From their TFN, to personal details to bank account details, we can assist inputting this data into Xero for you.

Calculating the correct wages, allowances, overtime and JobKeeper for your employees can be tedious and confusing. Account Aspects works with clients across many industries implementing Award provisions. We can help set up pay items to ensure your employees are being paid in accordance to your award or agreement, thus keeping your employees happy, loyal and productive.

Employees are the lifeblood of your business. To help keep your data consolidated, Account Aspects can help by adding personal details into Xero, inputting award changes, uploading employee contracts and more.

Online timesheets will improve your business operations making it more time efficient and cost effective. Employees can submit their Xero timesheet through the Xero Me app ready for approval.

Account Aspects can assist with single touch payroll and Xero single touch payroll setup. STP is a new way of reporting directly to the ATO. We can help you setup STP and assist with training you on how to use it (if necessary).

Account Aspects invites your staff into Xero as an employee. Employees can then login using the Xero Me Portal to enter timesheets, apply for leave and view their payslips. Xero Me is a private area giving them access to their details only. This means that they do not see your business information, bank accounts details or other employees information.

We help business owners meet their superannuation obligations directly from Xero using the Autosuper function. Xero incorporates a super clearing house meaning that once payment is authorised, the funds are debited from your bank account and paid to your employee’s nominated super fund on time.

The Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) allows you to meet your superannuation contributions electronically through one system. Whether you need help setting up the ATO small business clearing house or have questions about your super contributions, Account Aspects are your go to bookkeepers.

Payroll tax are mandatory for employers. Account Aspects can help with all of your payroll calculations and staff awards. Each state and territory has its own payroll tax legislation, with different rates and thresholds.

At the end of each financial year, your payroll needs to be verified and lodged to the ATO using STP (Single Touch Payroll). Your employees will be able to access their payroll records via their MyGov account. Account Aspects will justify payroll throughout your Xero file to ensure your expenses and liabilities match to what has been paid to your employees.

Account Aspects are registered BAS agents who are qualified to prepare your BAS (Business Activity Statement). We offer customised bookkeeping packages which include the preparation and lodgement of your Quarterly BAS obligations. We will also keep you accountable by informing you of your Quarterly BAS due dates.
